Why I'm running

Turning 50 got me thinking: our worth was never in our youth, our age, or our rΓ©sumΓ© β€” it's from being made in God's image. Age matters less than how we feel and how we keep showing up to train. This run is my way of living that out.

Here's the plan

To mark turning 50, I'm running 50 miles in a single day - fifty 1-mile loops around my neighborhood, from early morning until evening.

You don't need to be a runner to join in. Come run or walk a lap with me, stop by to cheer, or just show up for the Oktoberfest at 5 PM. Every lap is better with company, so join me for any part of the day that works for you.

The route

The whole day runs on a simple 1-mile loop right around the neighborhood - a 0.75-mile outer loop plus a 0.25-mile inner loop, both passing my driveway at 1136 Crescent Dr. Come find me there anytime - I roll past about every 15 minutes.
